Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero (born Patricia Apollonia Kotero) is a famous American actress, singer, and former model. She was known as the co-star in Prince's 1984 film Purple Rain, and the singer for the girl band Apollonia 6 Apollonia was a performer/singer who was christened by Prince in 1984 was one of the female artists of the 1980s who benefited from Prince. Patricia Kotero began her acting and modeling career in Santa Monica California, in the latter part of the 1970s. This included an appearance on CHiPS. In 1984 she landed the role of the lead female for Prince's Purple Rain (during which time he changed her name) and was replaced by Vanity in the female trio Vanity 6 singing with them on the screen under the name Apollonia 6. Kotero ended her relationship with Prince after a disagreement over the course of her career. Apollonia 6 broke up after their fallout. Following her appearance in minor movies (and reportedly refusing to participate in the Purple Rain film Under the Cherry Moon) her name was mentioned and she was a part of the 1985-86 evening drama Falcon Crest. Apollonia was the first artist to release her album in 1988, but it was not a great mix of dance and R&B music that did not really draw attention from the audience. The album quickly disappeared from view. The following decade saw she continued to work as an actress (if a little off the radar), with minor TV roles, movies and even an exercise film. Apollonia's album "Stay With Me" came out in 1997. She returned to the school where she received her diploma in filmmaking. Then she founded her firm and began working as a child's TV host. In addition the American model has been seen in music videos of musicians like Ray Parker Jr. and Eddie Money. Kotero was also an entrepreneur, and has created Kotero Entertainment, a multimedia entertainment business.
