Anamaria Marinca bio

Anamaria is a Romanian actress. She received an award called the British Academy Television Award of Best Actress in the Channel 4 Film Sex Traffic. French, German English fluently. She also won numerous prizes for her performance in the film 4 Months 3 Weeks 2 Days a Romanian Art Film. In 2007, her role as a character in Cristian Mungiu's Romanian art film, 4 months 3 weeks and 2 zile (4 months, 3 weeks and two days) was awarded the Palme d'Or Award at the Cannes Film Festival 2007 and two other awards, the Cinema Prize for the French National Education System as well as the FIPRESCI Prize. Also, she appeared as an infant in Francis Ford Coppola's Youth Without Youth. She was also in 2008 as Yasim Anwar on the BBC Five-episode mini-series The Last Enemy. Marinca played roles in Oliver Hirschbiegel's Five Minutes of Heaven as also in the Romanian film Boogie. The actress later played a significant role in the 2014 film Fury in which she portrayed a German woman named Irma the aunt of Emma.
