
Alexandra Rose Raisman (born May 25 April 1994) is an ex-retired American artistic gymnast, and a two-time Olympian. She was the leader of the 2012 "Fierce Five", and in 2016 the "Final Five,"" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics team. She received an Olympic gold medal for team competition at the 2016 Olympics. Gabby Douglas, her teammate, also received gold. Raisman also took home silver medals in the individual all-around and for floor exercise. She is the third-highest accomplished American gymnast in Olympic history, following Shannon Miller and Simone Biles who have won six Olympic medals.Raisman was also a member of the gold-winning American teams at the 2011 and 2015 World Championships, and the world bronze medalist in floor exercise in 2011. She was also two-time national champion in the floor exercise (2012, 2015) as well as the 2012 champion of the national team on balance beam, and she has won five medals in the all-around competition at the national championships (silver in 2016, and bronze in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2015). In 2013, she was admitted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.
